YOGA & PRIVATE SAFARI in BOTSWANA along Chobe River and the Okavango Delta May 21st – 29th, 2027

An Out of Africa adventure of a lifetime, this 8 night tailor made, all inclusive Safari Journey is privatized for our group only and strictly limited to 14 travelers.

The first three days and nights we are part of a floating safari on a house boat on the Chobe River followed by five days at a privatized, deluxe vintage tented camp in the Okavango Delta wilderness.

Part of the funds from our Yoga Journey Safari are donated to help protect the wilderness areas and support the local community in the regions we visit.

Imagine floating on a river through Africa’s wilderness onboard a privately chartered house boat spotting elephant river crossings, hippos bathing, eagles soaring and giraffes grazing. Wake up to captivating, wildlife filled sunrises that set the stage for our morning yoga practice, then after breakfast smaller boats bring us even closer to the action with water based game viewing.

Temperatures in the end of May are moderate with warm days and cool nights. May is the beginning of the dry season, the flood plains are high and animals return to remaining water sources.

The voyage onboard our private houseboat is guided by our water safari specialist who has uniquely crafted our floating safari and a visit with the Subiya tribe on the floodplains. A fabulous crew, captain, chef and expert safari guides cater our experience, prepare our meals, ensuring comfort, safety and ease. Cabins come with big screened in windows, comfortable beds and modern bathrooms. The river flows slowly and it’s a gentle, scenic ride all the way. No need to worry about seasickness.

After spending three days and nights floating on the river we disembark and continue by plane on a 45 minute flight and 30 minute drive to our private, vintage tented wilderness camp. Here we settle in for five nights with range rover game rides, guided bush walks, dug our canoe paddles on the Okavango Delta, birding, fishing for those who like and practice yoga in our open air Yoga Shala tent.

Removed from the noise of bigger groups in typical safaris, you will find yourself traveling in harmony with the circle of life at our own leisurely pace along with the wild life. The atmosphere is sublimely exotic and mesmerizing. Comfortable accommodations with en-suite bathroom and flushing toilet, bucket showers, top service and safety make the journey restful day and night. All meals, authentic African cuisine on our house boat and Frensh and Italian influenced meals with white table cloths at camp. The cuisine is fresh from farmer’s markets and fishermen, drinks are all included and served with delight.

Our camp is settled in one of the most prolific wildlife regions of Botswana, the Okavango Delta, renowned for its high concentration of predators like lions and leopards, huge herds of elephants and water buffalo where animals roam wild and free. The intention is to live in harmony with all life.
