Epic Fall Adventure in Iceland – October 8th – 14th, 2023

Epic Fall Adventure in Iceland

6 nights / 7 days | October 8th – 14th, 2023 in Iceland

Join Ulrika and her fabulous Icelandic guides on an epic Northern Lights and Hot Springs Yoga Journey in Iceland this fall. Discover the island of Fire, Ice and Northern Lights as we travel across moss and snow covered lava fields, rugged mountains, active volcanoes, rumbling glaciers, hot rivers, waterfalls, geysers and geothermal lagoons. With weather changing as dramatically as the scenery, we will adapt our itinerary to capture the essence of this wonderland and aim to see many variations of earthly formations and the northern lights.

Our days begin with yoga and a hearty Icelandic breakfast before heading out on adventures led by our guides, hiking to lava caves, ice formations, waterfalls and rivers, visiting or riding Icelandic horses bred by the vikings to calmly handle any weather and terrain. Evenings are spent in the geothermal baths or relaxing in the sauna watching the night sky for the northern lights to mysteriously appear when clear and the chemistry is just right.

Mid retreat, we’ll head out for a one night stay close to the famous Glacier Lagoon and Diamond beach and join our guides on a magical hike and hot spring dinner Icelandic earth cook out. On the last day we transfer locations to stay one night at a private hot lagoon enjoying an Icelandic tasting menu at a five star restaurant.

Fall in Iceland is rather mild, around 45 – 55° F as the island is warmed by the Gulf Stream. Although not guaranteed, the Fall Equinox with balanced daytime and nighttime, is a primetime to see many different Northern Lights due to usually clear night skies. This journey is a match made in heaven for travelers seeking an adventure with flexible itinerary.

Our accommodations for four nights sit on a river bank where steam rises from the volcanic hillside, in the home town of our guides. Our rooms all have views of the river and access to sauna and three large geothermal baths. Mid retreat we go east for one night and stay at a remote lodge close to Glacier Lagoon and Diamond Beach. The last day we transfer hotel to end our retreat at a praise hot lagoon in yet another Icelandic way.
