Midsummer is a unique time to be in Sweden to experience the never setting sun. As the midnight sun lights up the sky day and night, nighttime is a never ending sunset to sunrise.

The over 32,000 islands in the Stockholm archipelago become vibrantly alive with sailboats, saunas and the typical cold plunges. I grew up in Stockholm and you will have plenty opportunity to visit beautiful local spots in this scenic city before embarking on a two night outing near the Arctic Circle in northern Sweden.

This journey will entice your taste buds to Scandinavian delicacies and enrich you with culture, history and many memorable, uniquely Swedish moments.

We’ll spend the first four nights in Stockholm at a family owned deluxe hotel in the hippest part of town, walking distance to everything, and with the best “smörgåsbord” breakfast / brunch. Yoga twice a day led by yours truly at a private yoga studio bring balance to the sightseeing.

After yoga and brunch the day is open to explore the highlights of Stockholm. Each day offer a different flavor; one historic day in the old town, another day biking or walking the scenic paths of the royal island, then a day of ferry hopping into the archipelago.

On day five we change locations and fly north for two nights to absorb the beauty and serenity of the Arctic Bath to enjoy Nordic Spa Rituals, native Sami culture and maybe catch a glimpse of a moose on a hike in the forest. Here we celebrate our journey to the midnight sun with two festive and unique Arctic tasting menu dinners, cold plunges, swims in the river and of course plenty time for sauna!

Personal liability with full coverage travel insurance is required on all journeys.

AIRFARE: Arrive at Stockholm, Arlanda airport by midday July 3rd. On July 7th Arlanda – Luleå, a one hour flight north. From Luleå on July 9th either return to Stockholm, Arlanda and spend a night at one of the airport hotels to depart on July 10th OR perhaps Luleå – Copenhagen if you like to add one more destination while in Scandinavia.
