This brave little bird joined our yoga class @solage during morning practice. It flew in through the wide open doors, hit the head on the ceiling and stayed for the class. During meditation at the end of class it took flight and flew back out again. Keep soaring little yogi! Man oh man, the Horseback Yoga Journey into the wilderness of the Grand Tetons is still sifting through my brain, bones and being, shifting every cell of my body. The journey took us back to a timeless time, raw, wild and alive. What we’ve created and developed as humans is nothing compared to what nature gives us freely. We drank water out of the clean streams (no we didn’t get sick), made a fire to keep us warm morning and night when the sun was setting and rode our horses through meadows, streams, 10,000 feet mountain peaks, practiced some yoga in between rides, watched a grizzly roaming across the hillside and thousands of wildflowers coloring the landscape. All I crave is more of the peace and aliveness the wilderness offers so generously and my aim is to offer that bounty back through how I teach and share Yoga. Nature is and has always been my teacher and healer, Yoga gives voice and ability to be it. I wish for all superficiality to be stripped away and for real, raw, untamed beauty of our souls to be revealed in human forms.
